Last revised: October 9, 2026 (app policy)

This website

This website is operated by Blue Fox Studios LLC and hosted by Cloudflare. Hosting and security services process connection information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the website. This site does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration, or a mailing-list form. Fonts and images are served from this site.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions.

The website notice above was added October 21, 2026. The app policy below reproduces the current in-app policy. Milo is in development; features described below apply where available.

Who operates Milo

Blue Fox Studios, an LLC based in Salem, Oregon, operates Milo. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Blue Fox Studios. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Milo’s app and related services.

Information you provide

We collect the account and profile information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and professional or barn details. If you use a connected sign-in provider, we receive the account information that provider makes available for sign-in.

We store the content you add to Milo, including horse profiles, care and feeding records, photos, activities, training plans, appointments, event entries and results, group activity, and barn notices. These records may include information about riders, owners, clients, or professionals. Only provide information you are authorized to share.

Location, photos, and notifications

With your device’s permission, Milo can use your location for nearby searches, distances, and weather. Addresses or city and state information you enter can also be used for location-based features. Location coordinates or place information may be sent to weather and geocoding services to return results.

When you choose to add a photo, Milo uses the camera or photo selection features available on your device and stores the image you upload. For push notifications, Milo may store a device notification token and your notification preferences. You can change device permissions in your device settings.

Usage information and local storage

Milo uses PostHog for analytics. Analytics can include screens viewed, interactions, feature usage, device and app information, and account-linked properties. Milo sends PostHog your account identifier and information such as your account role and horse count to understand how the app is used. Current analytics instrumentation excludes your name, email address, contact details, and notification tokens. Older analytics records may contain name and email properties collected by earlier app versions.

Milo also stores sign-in session information and app preferences on your device. Removing the app’s local data does not delete the records stored with your account.

How information is used

We use information to sign you in, save and display your records, apply horse and barn access permissions, support appointments and payments where available, provide weather and nearby results, and deliver notifications.

We also use information to understand feature usage, investigate problems, maintain security, respond to support requests, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Sharing with people in Milo

Horse records are shared according to horse and barn roles. Owners, riders, trainers, barn staff, and barn mates can see different parts of a horse’s record. Barn mates may see the horse and active ailment symptoms without access to its full care records. Review the horse access guide before adding someone or requesting a role.

Professional listings and barn information can be visible to other people using the directory. Booking information is available to the people involved in the appointment. Content posted to a group or barn notice is visible to its relevant audience. Removing access cannot retrieve copies someone has already made outside Milo.

Horse access guidance is available in the app’s Help & Support screen. Contact support if you need help understanding a role.

Service providers and payments

Milo uses Supabase for account authentication, database records, and file storage; PostHog for analytics; Stripe for payment-related services where available; Expo for push delivery; and weather and geocoding providers such as OpenWeatherMap and OpenCage for location-based results. These providers receive information needed for the services they perform.

When you use payment features, payment information is handled through Stripe and associated payment systems. Milo can retain transaction, invoice, appointment, and payment-status records. Connected sign-in providers and external websites also handle information under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to address fraud, security threats, or legal claims. Information may also be transferred as part of a business transaction, subject to applicable law.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can update account details in Account Settings and manage notifications there. You can also change location, camera, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings. Some features need the relevant permission to work.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Visit Help & Support for available contact information to make a privacy request. We may need to confirm your identity before fulfilling a request.

Account deletion and retention

From the Settings card on your Profile, choose "Delete Account" and review the deletion preview before confirming. It explains which records will be removed and which will remain.

Shared horse records can remain for other users after your access is removed. Appointment, invoice, and payment records can retain your name for the other people involved and for financial records. Barn listings and notices can remain with your creator or author relationship removed.

Account deletion does not automatically erase every record held by external providers, including analytics or payment providers. Provider-held information and operational records may have separate retention requirements. Applicable privacy rights still apply; use the available support contact for questions about retained information.

Security

Milo uses authentication, access permissions, and storage controls to restrict access to records. No app, device, or online service can guarantee complete security. Keep your account credentials secure and review whom you give access to shared records.

Younger users

Milo is intended for people ages 13 and up. Children under 13 should not create an account or submit personal information. If you believe information from a child under 13 has been submitted, use the available support contact so we can investigate and address it.

Users under the age of legal adulthood should review this policy and the Terms of Service with a parent or guardian.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Milo’s features or data practices change. The revision date identifies the version shown here. Any notice or consent required by applicable law still applies.
